WHY GARADOR ROLLER?

Compact. Convenient.
Built for Everyday Use.

Garador Roller garage doors combine vertical opening, compact internal operation and a wide choice of colours and finishes — ideal where driveway space, ceiling space and ease of use all matter.

01

Vertical Opening

The curtain rises straight upwards, so there is no outward swing into the driveway. This allows you to park close to the garage opening while keeping access clear.

02

Compact Roller Housing

The curtain coils neatly into a housing above the opening, helping keep the garage ceiling area free from the long horizontal tracks used by other door types.

03

Made for Your Opening

GaraRoll and GaraGlide can be configured around your structural opening dimensions, helping create a clean, tailored installation with compatible guide and fitting options.

04

Electric Convenience

Roller doors are designed around convenient everyday operation, with automated opening and compatible control options available across the range for simple access from your vehicle.

Configure your Garador Roller door above to see the ranges, sizes, colours, fitting positions, guide options, controls and extras available for your selected specification.

CHOOSE YOUR RANGE

Three Roller Ranges.
Multiple Finishes.

02 GARAGLIDE

GaraGlide

GaraGlide combines a clean Roller-door appearance with made-to-measure sizing and a broad range of finish options. Its compact vertical opening makes it especially useful where ceiling space and driveway clearance are important.

03 GARACOMPACT
COMPACT ROLLER SYSTEM

GaraCompact

GaraCompact is designed for garages where available headroom is limited. Its compact roller housing requires significantly less space above the opening than traditional Roller systems, making it a strong option for restricted installations while retaining the convenience of electric vertical operation.

FITTING POSITION

Behind or Between?
Here’s the Difference.

Garador Roller garage doors can be installed behind the structural opening or, where required, between the opening. Your available sideroom, headroom and desired drive-through dimensions determine which arrangement best suits your garage.

01 BEHIND OPENING
ROLLER BOX
BEHIND

The roller box and guide rails are installed on the inside face of the garage wall behind the opening.

Behind the Opening

This is generally the preferred installation where sufficient internal wall space is available. The guides sit behind the brickwork rather than occupying part of the opening.

✓
Maximises drive-through width

Because the guide rails sit behind the brickwork, more of the structural opening remains available.

✓
Clean exterior appearance

The main roller assembly is positioned internally, helping create a neat appearance from outside.

✓
Requires sideroom & headroom

Suitable flat wall space is required beside and above the structural opening for the guides and box.

GOOD TO KNOW

If your garage has sufficient clear wall space around the opening, a behind-opening installation will usually preserve the greatest possible clear opening dimensions.

02 BETWEEN OPENING
ROLLER BOX
BETWEEN

The Roller door assembly sits within the structural opening rather than behind the surrounding brickwork.

Between the Opening

A useful alternative where there is insufficient flat wall space behind the opening for the normal installation. The guide rails and potentially part of the roller housing occupy space within the structural opening.

✓
Less internal wall space needed

Particularly useful where the reveals or internal garage walls restrict a behind-opening installation.

✓
Flexible installation position

Allows a Roller door to be fitted where the building layout would otherwise prevent a normal rear fit.

✓
Reduced clear opening

The guide rails use part of the opening width, so the finished drive-through dimensions will be smaller.

GOOD TO KNOW

Between-opening fitting can be a very practical solution, but remember to account for the space occupied by the guide rails and roller housing when checking your finished opening.

DON'T FORGET THE ROLLER BOX

Headroom is just as important as width.

The Roller curtain coils into a housing above the opening. The amount of clear space required depends on the selected Garador Roller range and door dimensions. GaraCompact is specifically designed for installations where headroom is limited.

✓
DON'T WORRY ABOUT COMPATIBILITY

Your configurator guides you through the fitting options.

Available fitting positions and guide configurations depend on the Roller range and dimensions you choose. Our configurator presents the relevant options for your selected Garador Roller door and includes them in your final specification.

Opening Height

Measure from the finished floor level to the underside of the lintel at the left, centre and right of the opening. Record the smallest measurement.

IMPORTANT BEFORE SELECTING YOUR DOOR

Check more than just the opening width and height.

Your Garador Roller door also needs enough space for the guide rails and roller housing. The required clearance depends on the selected range, door dimensions and whether the door is fitted behind or between the opening.

01

How do I know which Roller door size I need?

Measure the opening width and height at several points and record the smallest reliable measurements. You should also measure the available headroom and sideroom before configuring your door.

The required clearances vary depending on the selected Roller range and whether the door is fitted behind or between the structural opening.

View Roller Measuring Guide →
02

Are Garador Roller doors made to measure?

GaraRoll and GaraGlide are configured around your opening dimensions within the compatible size limits of the selected range.

The configurator uses the measurements you enter to determine the available size and pricing options for your chosen Roller door.

03

How much headroom do I need?

The amount of headroom required depends on the selected Garador Roller range and the overall door dimensions.

The space above the opening is used by the roller housing and curtain assembly. GaraCompact is designed specifically for installations where available headroom is restricted.

04

What is the difference between behind and between fitting?

A behind-opening installation positions the guide rails and roller housing on the inside face of the garage wall.

A between-opening installation places the door assembly within the structural opening itself. This can be useful where internal wall space is limited, but it reduces the finished clear opening dimensions.

05

Which Garador Roller range should I choose?

The current Roller range includes GaraRoll, GaraGlide and GaraCompact.

GaraRoll and GaraGlide offer made-to-measure sizing and a broad choice of finishes, while GaraCompact is designed for garages where available installation space is more restricted.

06

Which colours and finishes can I choose?

Available colours and finishes depend on the Roller range selected.

Options can include standard factory colours together with Deco Paint and Timber Effect finishes where compatible with the selected range.

07

Can I choose a different colour for the guide rails?

Yes, where the selected specification allows it. You can choose an alternative colour for the guide rails and box cover instead of matching the curtain colour.

If you select the alternative guide-colour option in the configurator, you will be asked to choose the actual guide and box colour before continuing.

08

Can I add glazing or ventilation?

Compatible glazing and ventilation options are available on selected Garador Roller specifications.

The configurator displays the available choices for your selected range and door dimensions.

09

Are Garador Roller doors electrically operated?

Electric operation is available across the main Garador Roller range and provides convenient remote-controlled everyday access.

Manual operation may also be available on selected specifications where shown in the configurator.

10

What controls are supplied with an electric Roller door?

The exact control package depends on the Roller range and operation specification selected.

Compatible remote-control and operating accessories are shown during configuration so you can see which options are available with your chosen door.

11

Does the Roller door need ceiling tracks?

No. A Roller door opens vertically and the curtain coils into a housing above the opening rather than travelling horizontally along long ceiling tracks.

This helps keep more of the internal garage ceiling area available for lighting, storage or other uses.

12

How long will my Roller door take to arrive?

Lead times vary depending on the selected Roller range, dimensions, finish, operation, guides, controls and optional extras.

Relevant delivery information will be provided as your order progresses.

13

Where do you deliver?

Red Oak Garage Doors supplies Garador garage doors for delivery across the UK.

Delivery availability and any applicable charges can depend on your location, door size and the specification ordered.

14

Does Red Oak Garage Doors install the door?

No. Red Oak Garage Doors operates on a supply-only basis. We supply your configured Garador Roller garage door and compatible components ready for installation, but fitting is not included with the order.

You can arrange installation separately with a suitable garage-door installer or competent tradesperson.

15

Who is responsible for checking the measurements?

As this is a supply-only order, you should ensure the opening width, opening height, headroom, sideroom and selected fitting position are suitable before ordering.

If you are unsure, we strongly recommend having the garage opening checked by a competent garage-door installer before placing the order.

Check the Measuring Guide →
16

Can I return a made-to-order Roller door?

Many garage doors are manufactured or supplied to the exact specification selected when you order. Because made-to-order or personalised products are produced specifically for the customer, standard change-of-mind cancellation and return rights may not apply.

This does not affect your statutory rights where goods are faulty, damaged or otherwise not as required by law. Please check our current returns terms before placing your order.
